If the government wants each of us to shell out $7000 to bailout the mortgage banks, we should know what caused the problem and demand they fix that first. Generally I’ve been a Bush supporter, but he’s dead wrong on this one. We can’t just throw 700 billion bucks into a broken system and expect it to magically get better. Of course, Bush did try to solve the root problem in 2002 and 2004, but the dems blocked it saying it would reduce affordable housing.
